Despite the seemingly doomsday vibes across Twitter about all things crypto, the wider Web3 space is totally consumed by building through this bear market and there is some sun peaking through the clouds ⛅️

This week some of that hard work done by projects is coming into fruition, so we’re here to shout for our fellow ladies in digital fashion to celebrate the good times!

Netflix and Chill Babe

We were so excited to tune into Netflix this week as they featured the digital fashion house Auroboros on the “Future Of” series. The episode The Future of Fashion highlights how the digital fashion industry is home to artists working on the cutting edge. The innovators. The expressionists. No matter what your style is, fashion is a way to express yourself. The fact that digital fashion is breaking into the mainstream like this is a huge deal for the space and opens up the path to mass adoption.

“Music, Art and all the other creative industries have been digitalized…it’s a natural progression” Paula Sello, Creative Director and Co Founder, Auroboros

Auroboros is the first fashion house to merge science and technology with physical couture, as well as digital-only ready-to-wear. Creating a romantic premise for the near future, their work stands for innovation, sustainability and immersive design.

Creative directors and Co founders Paula Sello and Alissa Aulbekova embody everything DiamondHandBag stands for; empowering web3 women, innovation, style and self-expression. We are crazy proud of the female led project, which is breaking boundaries both through their art and for the digital fashion space.

Avatar’s are Going to Look Fresh in EVERY Metaverse

While we’re hyping some of our favorite digital fashion projects, more major news this week from the digital first fashion NFT marketplace – DressX.

Meta, the owner of IG and FB has partnered with DressX to provide outfits for its new avatar wardrobe marketplace. This is huge, not only because avatar styling is a way of expressing yourself across metaverses but because avatar fashion is big business. Vogue explains in the article:

“One in five of Roblox’s 220 million monthly active users update their avatars daily via its marketplace, which enables independent creators to monetise their designs, according to the platform.”

DressX Founders Shapovalova and Natalia Modenova add Meta to an incredibly impressive list of partners including; Fendi, Jason Wu and Balenciaga as well as Auroboros, The Fabricant and Digitalax.

Again, the foundational values of DressX align with DiamondHandbag, bridging the gap for newcomers understanding the digital space and of course: Don’t shop less, Shop digital fashion

Big Brands Continue Breaking into the Digital Realm

Although last week, everyone in the DiamondHandbag group chat was obsessing over Burberry’s Virtual Lola Bag Collection. The partnership, Burberry x Roblox is rooted in creativity and self-expression and introduces the signature Lola bag to the gaming world. Each bag was only available for 24 hours across 5 days and we were glued!

Rachel Waller, VP of Channel Innovation at Burberry said: "We are thrilled to partner with Roblox to share a virtual handbag collection and to bring our iconic Lola bag to life in an entirely new creative way. The expression of our digital personas is a fascinating concept and one which we know is increasingly important to our customers. Roblox is a platform built on imagination, community and creativity pillars which are central to our brand, and we’re delighted to bring our virtual products to this community.”

The industry seems to be gaining speed and as ever, we’re totally here for it!
